Christmas is all about relaxing days on the sofa wrapped in a double duvet cover with holiday films on and goodies. A chick-flick on the TV, a glass of mulled wine and a minced pie, nothing beats it. These days are the best of the whole year. If you have been out in the snow, these days are even more deserved. Warming yourself up can be an excuse but it will be so much fun. I have three favourite activities for a winter’s day which I will describe here.
Movie Day
You have probably guessed by now that one of my favourite winter activities is to sit on the sofa wrapped in my double duvet cover with some snacks and my holiday movies. I have my favourite films including any brit-flicks and romantic comedies. If I can I will do this for the entire day, only leaving the sofa to go to the bathroom. But I can assure you that you won’t want to get off the settee once you have plonked yourself down so get everything you need around you at the start of the movie marathon. You can leave if you really need the toilet though!
Cooking And Baking
If I’m feeling active then I love to bake. When the windows steam up you will feel like you are in a world of your own. Cooing Christmas cookies and decorating them is one of my favourite recipes. Pies, cakes and soups are also very festive. Not only is cooking a form of stress relief which is nice during the busy holiday season but it is also very fun, and you get to enjoy what you make!
Playing In The Snow
No Christmas is complete without making snow angels, building snow people and throwing the white stuff at each other. We can bring out the kid in us when we have a snow day and revel in our immature nature. Even if you do not have children you do not have to miss out on the fun of a snow day.
